The Espai Ermengol is located in the Cal Mossèn Poldo, one of the porticoed buildings that define the initial stretch of Carrer Major. Currently it is a multi-use space that houses the tourist office and several exhibition spaces dedicated to the history of the city and various aspects of identity of La Seu d’Urgell, such as milk and cheese and the natural environment. On the top floor there is a viewpoint offering exceptional views over the Cathedral, the old part of the city and the Serra del Cadí.
Cal Mossèn Poldo, the building that houses the Espai Ermengol, is from the early 20th century. The façade on Carrer Major, in a classical style, is the most important element. It stands side-by-side with the other buildings also of some importance that, together, give the character to this initial stretch of Carrer Major.
